The latest audio update from our engineer, Gene. He talks about the status of the buildout and the pre-sign up post cards that went out a few months ago.
“There’s a lot of dirt in front of my house. Are the work crews going to clean it up?”
We received this message recently from a really nice woman who had seen the crews burying fiber in front of her yard here in Wilson. At first, she was worried but was pleasantly surprised by the end result. Her call was unsolicited.
We’ve heard similar results from several people. If the crews are working in front of your house right now, please give them a few days to wrap things up. They’re working very hard to make the area look as good after they’re done as it did before they arrived.
If they leave the area and you’re not satisfied, let me know and we’ll take care of it.
Our Fiber Engineer talks about the buildout progress
I recorded a short interview today with the man who’s overseeing construction of the City of Wilson’s fiber optic network. The network will provide every home and business in the city limits access to the fastest Internet speeds in NC as well as cable TV and phone service.
We plan to have our first residential paying customers online this spring.
